There is always a place for a player with the Mystic Hockey Club. Therefore, all players will be put on training and indoor tournament teams. The Sunday sessions will have training times based on age, and the team assigned. These sessions run for two hours, and operate between the hours of 11am and 7pm . Actual team training sessions begin November 13th. Technical training will start on November 8th. The first week will be used for evaluations
Players should attend at least two of the evaluation sessions for a proper evaluation, but may attend more if they want. These teams are for the NIT Qualifiers only. Any player who is unable to attend any of the evaluations will be placed on a squad, based on space availability and the coaches decisions.
The winter Indoor Hockey program is a 21 week training and game schedule beginning November 6th and ending March 30th. The players will get 5 hours of training each week compared to 3.5 hours last year.
Technical training will take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Team training takes place on Sunday's from 11am-7pm. The Sunday program will be a 2 hour session of team tactics and skill work, along with games. The time slots will be based on the teams each player is assigned for the indoor program. The weekday sessions go for 90 minutes and consist of conditioning drills and skills. There are two time slots each day and are chosen by the players, with the idea the player will attend two sessions over the course of the three days. The time slots are 5:30-7:00pm and 7:00-8:30pm each of the nights. Players may attend as many sessions as they would like.
The cost of this program is $585 for the entire season. This works out to $27.86 per week for 5 hours of training.
If you only want the twice weekly technical training, you can sign up for this opportunity and pay $350 for the season. This is for 3 hours per week.
We are also able to offer a new program this year: Monday through Friday from 3:30-5:00pm players can come in and play pick-up with other players, or work on individual skills. The cost for this program is $5 per session, per player. This is by appointment only.
If you are a club member, this is an additional program. Non-members are also able to participate in this program.
